I use Nexus Notes as skeletons for my own notes. This method is far easier than working off textbooks and really helps me with my law exams which aren't getting any easier.

I have used Nexus Notes since the site launched and I’m now achieving way more Ds and HDs instead of Ps.

About these notes

These are contracts law notes. They are not concerned with the formation of contract (offer, acceptance etc.), but rather with the mechanisms after formation, including express and implied terms, breach, termination, frustration etc.

They are from the Contracts II course at UNSW which is now simply “Contracts”. Though the course name and course number has changed, the content between the courses is almost entirely the same – therefore these notes will be relevant to the new course.

The major topics covered in these notes include:

  • Introduction
  • Signed Documents
  • Unsigned Documents (‘Ticket Cases’)
  • Pre-Contractual Statements
  • Contracts In Writing
  • Entire Agrement (Merger) Clauses
  • Giving Effect To Promissory Pre-Contractual Statements In A Contract Deemed To Be In Writing
  • Parole Evidence Rule
  • Construction Of Contracts
  • Exclusion Clauses
