This is a fantastic service to use for comparison of notes, compilation of notes or even just in an emergency. There are high quality and varied notes for all the subjects you need.

I use Nexus Notes as skeletons for my own notes. This method is far easier than working off textbooks and really helps me with my law exams which aren't getting any easier.

I have used Nexus Notes since the site launched and I’m now achieving way more Ds and HDs instead of Ps.

About these notes

These notes comprise of lecture notes and textbook notes which have been condensed to leave only information which could be relevant for a final exam in the foundations of law. The topics I cover are:

Defining Law
Reception of Law
Separation of Powers
Sources of Law
Legal Reasoning and the Common Law Method (Basically describing IRAC)
Statutory Interpretation
Evaluating Law
Basic Principals of Evidence

Relevant legislation and cases are included as are quotes from judges and scholars.

Important Sections of the Acts Interpretation Acts of Qld and Australia and the Constitutions of Qld and Australia are included.

Not all sources are fully referenced as I was not required to provide references in the exam but I have generally written the authors name or the textbook used and have mostly provided full case references.

I received a HD on my final exam simply by repeatedly reading these notes and taking them with me into the exam.
