As we may have mentioned, 2015 is a big year for us and changes are happening rapidly.
Most excitingly, we are expanding into the US market this month, which is a massive deal for us. Whilst our commitment to Australia and New Zealand remains as strong as ever, there are a couple of changes that we would like to make you aware of.
CHANGE #1: Multi-country search functionality
You can still search for notes using the existing function in the top right hand of the page, and the existing filter options have not changed. However, you can now also filter by ‘country’ which is available at the bottom right hand corner of the page (see below).
The search will default to the country that you are visiting from so there shouldn’t be any issues, however you can simply change the filter should you require. It’s very easy (see below).
CHANGE #2: Currency
The site currently allows for only one currency, and we have made the difficult decision (for now) to move our site across to the United States Dollar (USD). We believe that our Australian and New Zealand customers are more comfortable paying in USD than vice versa, and so going with the Greenback was the most user-friendly option for all parties.
What impact will this have on price? Well, it depends. Like any currency, the USD fluctuates against both the AUD and NZD on a daily basis, and at the time of writing it would represent a modest increase of approximately 20%. If the USD moves closer to parity this year then the price for both Aussie & Kiwi customers will drop with it. The price in AUD or NZD will be automatically calculated for you underneath the ‘Add to Cart’ button so that you know exactly how much you are paying.
The silver lining is that you can easily reduce the price in a couple of ways: Firstly, before clicking ‘Add to Cart’, there is an option to Tweet or Like the notes, which will instantly drop the price by 10% (see below).
Secondly, we can appreciate that you may have already used the sharing discount but may still be a few dollars out of pocket vs what you would have paid prior to the change. If this is too much to stomach after getting used to the old currency, we completely understand. Shoot me (an email) as we always strongly value feedback and ultimately it is you, not us that will always dictate how we provide our services and what price we offer them for.
Uploaders please note that your commissions will increase or decrease with the USD as well, meaning that at the time of writing you will receive approximately 20% extra per full priced sale.
As always, any other queries, please send us an email or leave a comment below.
